My parents left 1 hour ago for Thailand. They will be gone for 2 years...2014.
By then, Jeremy will be 19 and already be on his mission. Emily will be 16, driving & dating. Aubrey will be 14, Spencer will be 12, Garrett will be 10, Morgan will be 8, Tanner will be 3, & Baby #6 will be 18 months old. They will miss a grandbaby's birth, a mission farewell, a priesthood ordination, a baptism, & a first date. They will miss 2 Halloween parties, 2 Thanksgivings, 2 Christmas Celebrations, 2 Easter dinners, 2 July 4th parades & balloon festivals. They will miss Autumn in Utah.
They left on a rainy fall day, and they will return on a rainy fall day.
But they would not want to be anywhere else. They have been so blessed by God....2 children & their spouses, 7 1/4 grandchildren, Utah Mountains, good health, happiness, the gospel, eternal marriage, a happy family, baptism, covenants. What else can do they do to say thank you?
And so life goes on. We will cry a little, laugh a little more, & live life with much more gratitude...for them and for what God gave us all.
